FRIDAY January 9th is
Our 53nd Social Support Evening
A Very Happy New Year to all our Members from
your Committee.
May it be joyous and peaceful for all.
Hi everyone!
Trust that you are all OK and
keeping well, and that you all had a really great Christmas and that you are now looking forward to our next Social Support Evening, our 53rd which is on, Friday January 9th 2009, at our usual venue, Brothertoft Village Hall, Langrick Road, Brothertoft, Boston, PE20 3SW. (B1192) From 7:30 pm till 11 pm.
We had another really super
sociable evening in December, with 40 attending.
It was good to see many of our regular supporters and to welcome
for the first time Natasha from Derbyshire, also it was really good to see so many "newish" Regulars turning up. It was great to welcome back Brenda & Shirley from Southampton & Steph from Blackpool
The Make-up Trolley was won by Gwen in the special
raffle which also had a second prize donated by Steph, which was a lovely fluffy white Gorilla which was won by Sandra &
Eileen. Everyone who participated in the Secret Santa, seemed to really enjoy it, as well as the normal raffle, which was
our largest so far with some 21 prizes, many of which were donated by our members. So a big thank you to those that donated
prizes.
Your committee also gave small presents to June, who looks after
the hall, Ann for her Stirling work in the drinks department and in supplying lovely cakes and of course to Edwina, without
whose lovely home cooked spread she provides each evening we would all go home hungry! Thanks to every one that helps keep
Boston Belles going from strength to strength.
We really look forward to seeing you all again, preferably every
month, please do remember that we are, all your friends, so please don't loose touch with us, real friends are not easily
come by these days.
We hope that you are all enjoying the BOSTON
BELLES, so that we shall be here to support all our "sisters" who come along in the future.
Please also do remember that we offer a totally free
confidential support service, so if there are times when you need talk over problems or need any help, we are here
for you, just telephone, fe-mail or arrange a face to face meeting.
Get chatting to all your friends and please do encourage them to
come along and join us, we really are a very friendly bunch.
Hope you all have a good and safe journey home and that we hope
that we see you all again at our next social support evenings, tucked away in our own small corner of the Lincolnshire countryside!
Our thanks go to those of you, that use Easysearch and Easyfundraising,
to help the funding of our group, we are in line for a cheque early in 2009. Thanks.

CRUISING
We are now hearing of more and more transgendered persons frequenting
cruising sites. We would like to ask all of you that do frequent these sites, to be please so very careful
and not leave yourselves open to some of the vicious assaults that have been reported.
Please do take care out there. There is a very high
risk of assault in some of these areas.
HATE CRIME
This is something that we all may come across, at some time.
Please do report it, the TRUE-VISION reporting packs, which can be obtained from all Police Stations and many council offices
, also contains a Freepost envelope for you to return the form.
If you are in Lincolnshire, we have made special arrangements
with the Crown Prosecuting Service that you can e-mail the specialist prosecutor for Transphobic Hate Crime, Mark Holmes, and
discuss anything with him or any worries that you may have on this subject. e-mail markw.holmes@cps.gsi.gov.uk

Housekeeping
We would like to ask all of you, attending our social support
evenings, if you would please return the cups, glasses, plates and cutlery etc., to the kitchen just before the end of the
evening, it does help speed up, our clearing up, before we get to go home. And thank you, to all those that kindly help us
to reload the car and put away the chairs etc., at the end of the evening, it is a great help. (Its my bones creaking, that
remind me, I am not as young as I used to be!! or as pretty!!) <OK! so you don't have
to agree with me about the PRETTY bit!!!>
Also, please park tidily on the extended car park as it is rather
a dangerous road for speeding, so if you can park well back from the road edge all our vehicles will be that much safer. Better
be safe than be sorry.
To conclude, we would like to thank all of you who support us and continue
to support our social support evenings, as with out you, we wouldn't exist and we wouldn't be able to provide help, advice and
support to those of our transgendered sisters that need it, and also get our message through to the general public that we
are individuals and members of the human race and we are a very friendly bunch as well !.
Keep well and happy and we hope to see all of you next time.
Warmest Regards, Lots of Love & Best
Wishes.
